Long Islanders looking for love can sign up to find it on 'Love is Blind'

If you’re a single Long Islander looking for love, you’re in luck: The popular Netflix reality series "Love is Blind" is casting New York City-area applicants.

Single women and men are matched without meeting in person on the series, which made its debut in 2020. 

On its Instagram page, Kinetic Content, the program's production company, says it is looking for applicants who are "brave, open-minded, and ready for a committed relationship."

Eligible contestants must be truly single — meaning that they are not cohabiting, in divorce proceedings or annulments, or in an ongoing relationship. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. They also must be legal United States residents with valid identification showing proof of age.

Additionally, applicants must possess a valid passport for at least one year following their submission. They must also not be planning to run for public office within a year of the episodes airing.

Anyone interested can fill out the official casting application form, which requires a headshot, a 15-second intro video and social media handles. There is also an applicant questionnaire.
