Kings Park's The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow becoming The Vista

Trahanas Hospitality Group, the team behind The Lannin in Eisenhower Park will take over operations of The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow State Park, a waterfront event venue in Kings Park, under the new name The Vista at Sunken Meadow, beginning in January 2027.

Owned by The Lessing’s Group — which also manages Long Island event venues including The Mansion at Oyster Bay, The Mansion at Old Sayville, The Barns at Old Bethpage, and The Estate at Three Village Inn in Stony Brook— The Vista at Sunken Meadow will continue to prioritize waterfront events and wedding ceremonies as it shifts ownership. With proximity to the beach’s historic boardwalk and reception hall for 250 guests with floor-to-ceiling windows and terrace overlooking Long Island Sound, "The Pavilion has always been a special place for celebrations," said Elias Trahanas, co-founder of Trahanas Hospitality Group, adding that the group plans to refresh the spaces and menu.

"We have deep respect for the tradition Lessing’s has built at this incredible location, and we are committed to honoring that legacy while bringing new energy, creativity and hospitality to the venue."

The Vista will have an on-site culinary team, with menus tailored to each occasion; nothing will be outsourced. In addition to The Vista at Sunken Meadow, The Trahanas Group also runs The Union, The Lannin, and The General in Eisenhower Park under contract with the County of Nassau, as well as concessions at Jones Beach and Robert Moses State Park under contract with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. There will be no interruption in business operations once Trahanas takes over, and existing bookings at The Pavilion will be both honored and executed to their standard, according to Trahanas.
