Vincenzo’s Pizzeria of Levittown will reopen after previously announcing its closure in October.

Co-owner Garrett Klein told Newsday that the shop closed on Halloween as planned, but he now hopes to reopen by the end of this month. The pivot comes as an expected sale fell through, he said.

Klein said he didn’t "expect or even imagine" the outpouring of love and support they received once they announced the closure. He said he was "overwhelmed and very moved by all the love and support."

"That wasn’t the plan, to be back," he said. "It was a business decision."

While closed this month, the Wantagh Avenue pizzeria will undergo renovations  and a "general face-lift," he said. It'll reemerge with new countertops and fresh paint and tile.

"We’re going to inject a new life into the store and just try and come back as strong as possible and hit the ground running when we’re ready to go."

While Klein said they’re not "going to be reinventing the wheel," Vincenzo’s will also introduce new items when they reopen.

Some items include chicken vodka burrata hero, a meatball burrata hero, grilled chicken with creamed spinach and mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes. They’ll also have a few pie options as well including a cup and char pepperoni and a stracciatella and burrata.

"We’re just trying to keep up with the times," he said.

Klein started delivering pizzas at 17. He opened Vincenzo’s Pizzeria in 2018.
