Northwinds Symphonic Band Children’s Concert

The Northwinds Symphonic Band presents an afternoon of music, fun for families with children of all ages. Conductors Helen P. Bauer and Brandon Bromsey have put together a program designed to excite the imagination of young listeners and aspiring young musicians. The program will include well-known selections from The Sound of Music, featuring vocalist Karen Murphy, and a medley of music from everyone’s favorite Disney movies. A highlight of the program will be a musical, narrated version of Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, brought to life by three members of the North Shore High School dance troupe.

Sammy Davis Jr has been called by some critics the “World's Greatest” entertainer. This program will show why that is. There will be clips of Sammy singing, dancing, doing impressions, and playing instruments. He will sing some of his hits, including "What Kind of Fool Am I", "The Candy Man", and "Mr. Bojangles". He will be seen performing "It Ain't Necessarily So' from the film "Porgy & Bess".
