A magical gathering of witches, wizards, and all spooky-season enthusiasts as they take to the waters of the Peconic River in costume. Participants are invited to decorate their paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes and don their best witchy attire for a spirited paddle along Riverhead's scenic waterfront. Whether you're a seasoned paddler or simply looking for a fun way to celebrate the arrival of fall, this unique event promises an unforgettable evening of laughter, community, and Halloween fun. Spectators are encouraged to line the Riverwalk and Riverfront to cheer on the paddlers and capture the spectacle of witches floating through Downtown Riverhead. Weather permitting. Rain will cancel this event. All participants must wear a Personal Flotation Device and a whistle for safety, as per the police department. Costumes encouraged. Magic optional. Reserve

Wednesday Walks: Water Mill Farm Fields

We will meet in the parking lot of the Water Mill Community House on Montauk Highway for a 2-mile walk along the quiet streets and farm fields of Water Mill. We will walk past the historic windmill and down Halsey Lane and Crescent Avenue to enjoy a view across Mecox Bay to the beach. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. No registration required. Weather permitting.
