BACKGROUND
- Lupinacci, 46, of South Huntington, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. He is a business law teacher at Farmingdale State College.
- He has been Huntington’s town supervisor, a New York State assemblyman and a school board member of the South Huntington school district.
- Lupinacci has a bachelor’s degree in political science, a juris doctor and an MBA from Hofstra University in Hempstead.
ISSUES
- Lupinacci said he will work to combat crime by giving law enforcement the necessary tools to keep communities safe.
- He said he will encourage economic development to attract high-paying jobs to the region and address affordability struggles. He also said he will support Suffolk County Community College to ensure that the county continues to develop a highly skilled workforce.
- Lupinacci said protecting the environment, waterways and drinking water and investing in Suffolk’s infrastructure to alleviate traffic and make sure roadways are safer are also among his priorities.
