BACKGROUND

  • Ward, 59, of Baldwin, is not enrolled in a party and is running on the Democratic Party line in the general election. He is a director at The Build Business Advisory Group LLC. 
  • He is is a Cornell University graduate of the School of Industrial Labor Relations. He is a past two-term president of the Baldwin Civic Association Inc. and is a past member of the Local Planning Committee for the Baldwin Downtown Revitalization Grant.
  • Ward has had a 30-year career in the financial services for-profit industry, financial quasi-government and financial government regulatory authorities.

ISSUES

  • Ward said he wants to elevate unheard community voices to join those already engaged to create a town government that serves all residents and to promote collaboration and promotion of collective voices in the district.
  • He said he will work to promote financial transparency and accountability, and audit town finances and expenditures.
  • Ward’s priorities also include reviewing governmental policies and processes for best practices, seeking ways to save taxpayer dollars and collaborating with business and community partners to develop local economic development.
