• Clavin, 56, of Garden City, is a registered Republican and is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
• He is running unopposed.
• Clavin was Hempstead town supervisor from Jan. 1, 2020, to Aug. 5, 2025, when he resigned and retired at a town board meeting while serving his third term.
• Clavin graduated in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in history from Canisius University in Buffalo and earned his law degree in 1996 from Hofstra University Law School in Hempstead. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1997.
