  • Kopel, 74, of Lawrence, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative Party lines in the general election. He is seeking reelection and is also presiding officer of the Nassau County Legislature.
  • He is an attorney and founder of a national title insurance and settlement services company in Valley Stream. He graduated from Brooklyn College and Brooklyn College Law School.
