BACKGROUND

  • Giuffré, 61, of Stewart Manor, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. He is seeking reelection.
  • He is a trial attorney with more than 30 years’ experience and is the owner and founder of Giuffré Law Offices PC in Stewart Manor. He is a graduate of Columbia College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was an editor of the Journal of International Business Law.
  • Giuffré served on the zoning board for the Village of Stewart Manor and is active in numerous civic organizations, including the Covert Avenue Chamber of Commerce and Floral Park Lions Club.

ISSUES

  • Giuffré said he wants to hold the line on taxes and has never voted for a tax increase.
  • He said he supports law enforcement, including voting to hire 422 additional police and prosecutors. He said he supported gun buybacks and the building of a state-of-the-art training village.
  • Giuffré said road safety is another priority and that he worked to get traffic lights, or lighted crosswalks, installed at heavily trafficked intersections. He said he also worked on securing paving projects to improve road conditions.
