BACKGROUND

  • Brown, 34, a lifelong Elmont resident, is not enrolled in a party and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. He is a licensed financial adviser and has a bachelor’s degree in technology management from Penn State University.
  • He is part of a team that he said manages more than $100 million in assets. He assists teachers and public employees with retirement planning and long-term financial security.
  • Brown serves on the board of the Southeast Queens Merchants Association and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

ISSUES

  • Brown said that public safety and quality of life are priorities and that he will work to ensure law enforcement has the resources it needs, while also building stronger community-police relationships to maintain trust, fairness and accountability.
  • Fiscal responsibility and smart spending also top his agenda. Brown said he will push for responsible county budgeting, hold the government accountable for wasteful spending and ensure taxpayer dollars are invested in services that directly improve quality of life.
  • Brown said he is committed to improving parks, schools, infrastructure and small-business support across all of District 3. He believes families deserve access to safe green spaces, strong schools and vibrant local businesses that keep our communities thriving.
