BACKGROUND

  • Endres, 54, of South Setauket, a registered Republican, is seeking office for the first time. She is running on the Republican and Conservative lines. 
  • She's a lawyer in private practice and previously worked in the Suffolk County Clerk's office as deputy clerk for five years.  
  • She has a bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology from Stony Brook University and a law degree from Touro Law. 

ISSUES

  • Endres said she is focused on working with the police so they "know they have leadership that cares about them. 
  • She's concerned about the impact of unfunded mandates on affordability, including the state's climate law, which she worries could increase utility costs for gas and electricity
  • On infrastructure, her goal is to "get more money poured into our district" to help with sewer and transportation projects, while easing costs.
