Newsday/Siena University polls released Wednesday show Republican Bruce Blakeman leads Gov. Kathy Hochul by 8 points on Long Island, but trails by 9 points statewide.
The Long Island poll was conducted Sept. 11-17, among 411 likely voters in Suffolk and Nassau. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 5.7 percentage points, meaning the answer to any question can vary that much.
