1. St. Anthony’s

The Friars have won six consecutive CHSAA titles and 48 games in a row. They return a terrific senior core led by Florida commit Emma Speed and Notre Dame commit Anna Christie. They combined for 86 goals last season. On defense, Sophia Novelli, a Vanderbilt commit, and Siena commit Kelsey Gorman lead a strong back end.

2. Bayport-Blue Point

The Phantoms are now in Class D and they bring back some key contributors from last year’s Class C state title team. Junior Olivia Brady, a Clemson commit, leads a dangerous midfield unit. The senior class is led by by Kailey Bruckner, Sara Richardt and Shannon Carney.

3. Sayville

The Golden Flashes have a deep and talented midfield group. Sophia Buffardi, a North Carolina commit, is one of the nation’s top players. Dylan McNamara and Morgan Farrell join her to form a high-powered offense. Goalie Julia Lilienthal, a Vanderbilt commit, had 129 saves last season.

4. Garden City

The Trojans boast a talented offense with experience. Attacker Averie Smith had 59 points last year and Kimberly Colucci had 58. Regan Backer, a Virginia commit, is key in the draw circle. Kate Scuderi anchors the defense.

5. Manhasset

Boston College commit Taylor Gordon, Harper Lambert and Elim Yang lead a prolific offense. Ruby Cacioppo returns between the pipes. The Stanford commit had 111 saves last season and is one of the top goalies on Long Island. 

6. Huntington

The Blue Devils won their first Long Island title in 30 years last season. They are led by a strong trio of Division I commits in Valentina Puccio, Jolie Weinschreider and Grace Gordon. Defender Ava McDonald and sophomore goalie Juliet Johnson are key to Huntington’s success.

7. West Islip

The Lions bring back eight starters, including the Obloj sisters. Ava, a senior, and Jenna, a junior, are both committed to Florida and combined for 107 points last year. Francesca Tofano, headed to Yale, is a key two-way midfielder. Alex Livingston is a lockdown defender, registering 17 caused turnovers and 56 ground balls last season.

8. South Side

The Cyclones won a Nassau Class C title a year ago and bring back a strong defense. A pair of Division I commits in Lexi Giannone and Reese Long are reliable defenders, while Tara Cody had 143 saves last year. Skye Korten, an Albany commit, registered 58 points as a sophomore.

9. Smithtown West

The Bulls collected their first county title in district history last season. An exciting duo returns, as Alyssa Lorefice had 56 assists last season and Ashley Mennella scored 41 goals. Maribella Marciano, a five-year starter between the pipes, had 113 saves last season.

10. Cold Spring Harbor

The Seahawks graduated some incredible talent from their Class D state title group last season, but they bring back Olivia Mulada. The Syracuse commit had 80 points last season. She’ll team up with Bridget Willcocks, a leader of a strong junior class stepping into bigger roles.

On the cusp: Westhampton, Massapequa, Ward Melville, Northport, Farmingdale
