High school roundup: Football, boys and girls soccer and field hockey

Rocco Natale had nine carries for 89 yards and two TDs and returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score to lead visiting New Hyde Park over Center Moriches, 44-21, in a non-league football opener on Thursday. Hunter Nacewicz completed all five of his passes for 110 yards and a TD. Johnny Casanova rushed for 87 yards on six carries and caught a 42-yard TD pass.

Nolan Tenety caught two TD passes from Richie Roberts and Christian Versacci returned a kickoff 80 yards for a TD for Center Moriches.

Comsewogue 3, Half Hollow Hills West 2: Gio Dicescco scored two goals to lead Comsewogue (3-1) in Suffolk IV. Jake Mueller added a goal.
