Stevey Duval struck out 20 in a complete game and allowed one earned run in Central Islip’s 9-2 win over Brentwood in Suffolk I softball on Saturday. Duval also went 4-for-4 with four RBIs. Lianna Mills went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs for Central Islip (1-2). Janiyah Torres struck out seven for Brentwood (1-1).

BOYS LACROSSE

Long Beach 9, MacArthur 8: Charlie Conway scored with 1:11 left in the second overtime for Long Beach (2-2) in non-league. Conway had five goals and Cian Donaghy had two goals and three assists. Colin McDermott and James McGee each had two goals and an assist for MacArthur (2-2).
