Morgan Kraus hit a two-run, walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Hauppauge a 3-2 win over visiting Smithtown West in non-league softball action in Hauppauge on Friday night.

Kraus finished 1-for-4 with the two RBIs for Hauppauge (5-4). Amanda Barshay hit an RBI triple in the second inning to drive in the game’s first run.

Aeryn Regan struck out eight batters over seven innings and collected two hits. Crisalyn Abruscato had two hits, including a double, a run scored and a stolen base.

Arza Sciortino struck out eight for Smithtown West (5-5).

Eastport-South Manor 5, Smithtown East 0: Alyssa Murnane pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout with five strikeouts and hit a triple for Eastport-South Manor (7-2) in non-league. Leah Smith went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Elsie Martin finished 2-for-3 with a double, a run and two RBIs. Eva Roman struck out four for Smithtown East (5-5).

Syosset 8, MacArthur 5: Sienna Renny went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored for Syosset (6-5). Ella Lanza went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Kate Legoas tossed four innings and picked up the win and Gianna Ranieri pitched three innings to earn the save.

Connetquot 5, North Babylon 1: Mya Delemo went 4-for-4 and Adyson Hartcorn hit a grand slam to lead Connetquot (4-5) in Suffolk II.

THURSDAY’S GAMES

Shoreham-Wading River 13, Glenn 5: Mia Dettleff went 4-for-4 with two home runs, two doubles, five RBIs and three runs for Shoreham-Wading River (7-2) in Suffolk VI. Emma Reilly went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored. Aibreann Edelstein pitched two innings and picked up the win and Lauren Gallucci struck out six over five innings. Addison Lawrence struck out 12 for Glenn (2-6).

Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 5, Clarke 3: Samantha Szypula struck out 14 over seven innings and went 3-for-4 with a home run for Plainview-Old Bethpage (10-0) in Nassau II. Ava Frangas and Kerriann Orth each went 3-for-4. Leyla Elkhatib hit a two-run home run. Kate Welsh struck out four and Sydney Carvalho struck out four for Clarke (6-4).

BASEBALL

Carey 3, Garden City 2: Mark Vera hit his second home run of the game in the top of the sixth inning to tie it before Michael Agostino hit a two-out single that scored Tristan Hickis to give Carey (5-3-1) the lead for good in Nassau AA-II. Jack LaDuca pitched a scoreless seventh inning, striking out the side to earn the save. Ryan Kunkel earned the win, allowing two earned runs and six hits over six innings with four strikeouts. Kyle Walsh hit a home run for Garden City (7-2).

Clarke 2, Division 1: Matt Kurz pitched a perfect top of the seventh inning before delivering a two-out single to score Nick Buffolino and walk it off for Clarke (9-1) in Nassau AA-III. Nico Burriesci threw three scoreless innings in relief, striking out three. Shane Villaume struck out six for Division (5-4).

Bethpage 6, Jericho 3: Tim Conlon went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a stolen base to lead Bethpage (5-4) in Nassau AA-III. Jordan Martin allowed one earned run with three strikeouts in five innings.

Sayville 10, Islip 0: Joe Strining led off the game with a home run and followed it with a two-run homer in the second inning for Sayville (7-2) in Suffolk VI. Aidan Devane pitched a complete-game, two-hit shutout, striking out four. He went 2-for-4 and scored two runs. Shane Meehan went 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Brody Tellier went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Nate Lewis hit his second homer in as many games.

THURSDAY’S GAMES

Lindenhurst 6, Sachem East 5: RJ Cantelmo successfully laid down a squeeze bunt to score Sean Cima and walk the game off in the bottom of the eighth inning for Lindenhurst (4-5) in Suffolk II. Cima had two hits. Vinny Aaron went 2-for-3 and hit the game-tying two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Connor Regina earned his first career win.

Connetquot 6, Ward Melville 5: Damian Sosa hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Michael Mallon and win it for Connetquot (8-0) in Suffolk II. Jagger Adamo and Michael Mallon each had three hits.

BOYS LACROSSE

Holy Trinity 8, East Meadow 5: Matt Becker had 17 saves for Holy Trinity (5-1) in non-league and Danny Bergen III won 16 faceoffs. Chase Eichele had four goals and Devin Michaels had three assists. Jack Alvy had 11 saves for East Meadow (1-7).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Mepham 8, Wheatley 6: Alexis Honerkamp had four goals, an assist and three draw controls for Mepham (1-7) in non-league. Siena Barbarino had two goals and two assists. Samantha Kovios had five goals for Wheatley (0-7).

Islip 14, Shoreham-Wading River 10: Caitlin Barnes scored six goals and picked up eight draw controls for Islip (4-3) in Suffolk II. Olivia Pue added a goal and five assists. Anabel Keegan and Mae Kilkenny both had three goals for Shoreham-Wading River (3-4).

New Hyde Park 9, Carey 7: Francesca Curatolo scored six goals to lead New Hyde Park (4-2) in Nassau III. Gia Cefaloni had a goal and three assists. Olivia Wilde had three goals and an assist for Carey (3-6).
