BACKGROUND

  • Imbroto, 41, of Bethpage, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. He was elected to the town board in 2017.
  • He earned his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School. He worked as a manager of policy and government relations and in-house counsel for the Long Island Contractors’ Association, where he said he advocated to repair and rebuild roads, bridges and local infrastructure. He is the former assistant town attorney and is currently in private practice.
  • Imbroto sits on the board of directors for the Columbian Lawyers Association and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and the Chaminade Lawyers Association.

ISSUES

  • As chairman of the town’s Quality of Life Task Force, Imbroto said he will continue to focus on demolishing zombie properties and replacing them with new homes.
  • He said he is also concerned about illegal housing, noise, landscaping and parking issues and is committed to protecting and preserving the safety and general well-being of residents, as he said often code violations can lead to dangerous and unsafe conditions.
  • Imbroto said he will work to bring additional economic opportunities to the town, continuing efforts that have attracted new companies and jobs.
