BACKGROUND
- Greenberg, 52, of Glen Cove, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. He ran for City Council in 2009 and 2021 and for the Nassau County Legislature in 2019. He is a member of the Glen Cove Planning Board and the Water Authority of North Shore, and is president of the Glen Cove City Junior Soccer League.
- Greenberg was adopted by his parents as an infant from Bogota, Colombia. He is a family law attorney specializing in international and domestic adoption.
- He grew up in Roslyn Harbor, graduated from North Shore High School in Glen Head and has a Hofstra law degree.
ISSUES
- Greenberg said he is “very supportive” of the city administration’s investments in Glen Cove recreational facilities such as new pickleball courts at the soccer field and city stadium improvements.
- He said he supports “development to ensure future growth but balancing it with making sure that we don’t overdevelop Glen Cove.”
- Greenberg said he will ensure that the Glen Cove City Police are “properly funded so that we remain one of the safest cities in New York State.”
